Fast

Makai Voyager uses advanced data and hardware management techniques to allow large, time-varying data sets to be visualized on a standard PC at fast, interactive speeds.

Using level-of-detail technology, Voyager can view spatial data at a wide range of scales -- from huge ocean simulations, to sub-centimeter laser surveys. Time-varying data can be viewed over seconds, hours, or years, with virtually unlimited data sizes (terabytes).

Voyager has also been designed for today's multicore workstations, by using threading so that data operations don't slow down the GUI. Also, by using the GPU, we are able to maximum graphics performance on laptops and desktops.

Versatile

Makai Voyager supports a wide range of geospatial imagery, GIS, and scientific data types are supported. The Pro version can handle hundreds of formats:

Web-Enabled

Today's networked age requires data access on local networks and via the Web. The Makai Voyager software stores environmental data in an advanced, multi-resolution format, making data access seamless from your hard drive, local network, or the Internet.

With Voyager, you'll also be able to load Web Map Service (WMS), Web Feature Service (WFS), Sensor Observation Services (SOS), OPeNDAP, and other web-based data services.

Analysis & Presentation Tools

Makai Voyager Pro includes a broad range of tools for the inspection, analysis, and presentation of complex multi-variate data. Measurement & analysis features such as slicing, probing, cropping and graphing tools allow users to explore and analyze their scientific data to gain detailed insight. Graphs, data tables, screenshots, and movies can be exported in a variety of formats for further analysis or presentation.

Products & Services

The Makai Voyager software comes in two versions:

• Makai Voyager Pro (paid) is a full-featured environmental visualization product with data import, export, graphing and analysis tools, and a module system for domain-specific functionality.
• Makai Voyager Viewer (free) can be used to view data processed by the Pro version (in Voyager's environmental data format), but it does not have data import or as many analysis tools.
