Makai Voyager is dedicated to visualizing large scientific and geospatial data sets at fast, interactive speeds. Using level-of-detail technology, Makai Voyager is able to process and visualize 'big data' using standard PCs.

Web-Enabled

Widely accepted web-based data services such as Web Map Service (WMS), Web Feature Service (WFS), Sensor Observation Services (SOS), OPeNDAP, and others are able to be streamed and visualized on the global 3D viewer.

Analysis & Presentation Tools

Makai Voyager Pro includes tools for inspection, analysis, and presentation of complex spatial data. Measurement & analysis features such as slicing, probing, cropping and graphing tools allow users to explore and analyze their scientific data. Graphs, tables, screenshots, and movies can be exported for further analysis or presentation.

Applications

Meteorology: Makai Voyager can show large, time-varying 3D weather simulations and stream live weather layers from the Internet. Voyager can save video or high-resolution screen shots of your work.

Topography: Many terrain data formats can be imported with Makai Voyager's data import module. Lighting, colors, and elevation contours for terrain and bathymetry can be changed dynamically.

LIDAR: Large scientific datasets can be streamed over a network or the Internet. Voyager can work at any scale, from LIDAR surveys of a city, to global environmental simulations.

Environmental Models:: Multiple global, regional, or local scale environmental models can be visualized simultaneously in the same 4D space. The understanding of complex models is enhanced by the simple yet compelling 4D visualization and analysis tools provided by Makai Voyager.
